The Immigration Appeal Division (IAD) is in charge of assessing and making determinations on numerous types of appeal cases which include refusal of family class sponsorship by overseas visa officers (eg sponsorship of a spouse or parents), removal of permanent resident from Canada due to criminality, misrepresentation, or non compliance of residency obligation.
